“Working with the BCT team has always been a pleasure due largely to the fact that they are determined to make the owner/ client happy, but always keep the construction process in mind as well. This is what helps us, as a partnership, deliver a project that exceeds expectations.”

Mohave Middle School is an existing 50 year old campus in the Scottsdale Unified School District. With the recent bond monies, the School District chose to remodel all of their existing middle school campuses. This campus has numerous outdated classroom buildings, a newer gymnasium building and cafetorium building. Also on campus is the District Annex building housing the Special Education administrators and Career Ladder, the District wide teacher's continuing education administrators. The remodeled campus now includes a new two-story state of the art classroom building, a media center building, an administration building, a District office building and a District annex building. The existing gymnasium and cafetorium will be provided with an interior face lift with color upgrade.
With energy efficiency in mind, the campus houses two chiller plants allowing the main school campus to run independently from the District office buildings. All of the roofs have been designed to accommodate future solar panels. Translucent glazing has been utilized to allow diffused light to enter the corridors and media center. Window shading canopies have been designed into the facade to block unwanted direct sunlight into the classrooms and office spaces. All new buildings have exceeded the COMCheck energy code software by 15% or better!
